Biography
The work behind the mandate.
Calvin Themba Makhubela is an Africa-focused strategy, trade and government-relations consultant, entrepreneur and business leader with more than a decade of experience spanning African affairs, economic development, market entry, trade facilitation, stakeholder engagement and business development.
His involvement in continental leadership dates back to 2012 through participation in the World Youth Parliament, followed by his nomination in 2013 to the African Union Youth Parliament. His work has since focused on the intersection of private-sector opportunity, public institutions, regional trade and commercial partnerships.
Calvin is also the Founder and Chief Executive of Africa Trade Agency, where he leads market-access, stakeholder-engagement, government-relations and commercial-development mandates designed to help organisations navigate African markets and progress real opportunities toward execution.
